Egypt in 2 days

Egypt ..

Our home in Egypt is beautiful! When we got to the  airbnb, there was some cats that lived there, they were very cute and  we gave them some food and they became our friends. On the first day we went to the pyramids of Giza !! They were huge. We walked around for a bit and then we got on some camels and rode around and took pictures. My camel was nice but Rogers camel was silly - he kept nipping the other camels and was trying to make them angry . After we rode camels, we went inside a small pyramid it was really cool! We took a really steep ladder to get in and it was really warm inside!! After that we had some tea and relaxed. After that we took a quick drive to the other side of the pyramid and took lots of pictures. After that we went back to our bnb and had dinner and relaxed for a bit. Then at 8 pm we went on a  3 hour boat on the Nile river. We had a yummy dinner and dessert and then there was some music, a belly dancer and a man wearing a long dress twirling in circles. The day after that we got up super early and got in the car to go to the saqqara pyramids. When we got there we went inside a whole bunch of pyramids and saw the first ever pyramid in Egypt !!! So it was really cool it was an amazing experience.  After that we went in a whole bunch of other tombs and then after that we went to the museum of the pyramids. I saw lots of really cool stuff like: ancient clothing, old tools, sculptures and more! But by far the coolest thing I saw there was a real mummy!! Yes it had a real ancient Egyptian in it!!! It was so so cool!! After the museum we went to this awesome place for lunch that had the yummiest food! But my stomach started hurting and a got sick. But then after a bit I felt kinda better. After that we drove around for 3 hours and then got the yummiest ice cream I’ve ever had!! We had chocolate and mango. The mango ice cream tasted exactly like real mangos and the texture of the chocolate was amazing!!  We went back to our airbnb and started packing. Then at 7 pm we all went to bed and then woke up at 10 pm and met our driver. Then we drove for an hour to the huge air port and went through so much security and then finally got on our plane. The plane was really big!! We flew for 4 hours, I slept the whole time. then we got to Ethiopia airport and that’s were I am now. Soon we will board a plane to Zanzibar island where we will spend Christmas.

On Wednesday we woke up and out tour guide/ the women who owns the bnb be stayed at brought us some Egyptian breakfast. After we got ready we went to the pyramids of Giza. They are so big and impressive. I can’t believe they are that old. After we walked around we got to ride the cutest camels ever into the desert. I found out that camels are the best little animals ever and that they are very nice. The camels  were my favourite part of the whole trip. After the camels we went inside a bunch of tombs and we saw all the writing on the walls in hieroglyphics. It was very cool. After that we went to the papyrus museum. They showed us how to make papyrus. After that we went back to our pretty bnb to relax. Our bnb over looked the pyramids and the sunset was very pretty. Then we went to a cruise on the Nile and the food wasn’t that good and it was veryyyy long and boring. There was a little man that did a dance and there was a lady that was belly dancing. The Nile is very pretty at night 


We woke up early the next day and our tour guide brought us breakfast again. We drove a long time to get to the saqqara pyramids. It was very cold out and we saw a bunch of archeologist digging under the sand and finding new tombs everyday. We went inside more tombs and we went to a museum that had old artifacts and even a preserved dead body of a king. Then we drove all the way back to downtown Cairo and we went to the most delicious restaurant ever. They had big plates of salads and meats and rice and different sauces all layer out on the table to share. It was an amazing experience. After that we drove by the bazaar but we didn’t have time to go so we went for a famous ice cream place with the best ice cream ever. It was a good way to end the night. After that we had a nap because we had to leave for the airport at 10:00 pm for our flight at 2 am.  On the flight we mostly slept and listened to music. I also watched one movie. Then we took a flight to Zanzibar

Coming home!!!

  We took a flight to Addis Ababa and then took another long flight to Cairo and we arrived at one in the morning. We got to the hotel and it was very fancy and we went to bed. The next day I sat by the pool with dad and Sara and mom went to the bazar. We ate dinner and went to bed for a nap and then woke up at 9. We took the shuttle to the airport and checked in. After the flight to Frankfurt we got to the first class lounge and ate and relaxed. I am so excited to go home this trip was so long. I miss home and my pets and my friends . We still have a ten hour flight ahead of us and then the ferry but it will all be worth it. Kilimanjaro by Sofie

  Blog   We climbed Mt Kilimanjaro for 7 days. They were some of the worst days ever but that’s fine. The first day went really fast and it was actually kind of fun. We only hiked for about 4 hours. We slept in the rain forest. Sara started puking all night but she tried to stay strong. The next day we hiked for 12 hours straight. It was one of the worst days of my life. It was just uphill for hours. At the camp Sara was so done because she was sick and she hadn’t eaten anything for a while cause she kept puking. After we woke up the next morning Sara was so done with everyone so her and dad left with a car that came to the camp to pick her up. I had the choice to either leave or keep going. I chose to keep going with mom and    Katlyn and Roger but honestly it didn’t seem like the right chose while I was climbing that day. We kept going through the days and sleeping at camp. After the hike….

  Hi guys so after we finished our safari’s, our group got together and went back to the main hotel where we went to bed. The next day we went to the airport. We took a quick flight to stone town and then drove for a long time. When we got to the address of our airbnb, it was in the middle of a road with no houses! We were really confused and then we realized we had been scammed!!! So we got back into the car and looked for a hotel. Lucky for us we had all day to look because at the time it was only 9 am. Finally we got to a really pretty hotel. So we went in and they gave us a snack while we waited for a room. Once we got all settled in, we went to the pool that was on the roof!!! After swimming for a bit we had dinner and then went to bed. That night I dreamed that I was a gingerbread man!! The next morning we got up early and decided to go for a walk around the city.
